ANIMATED FORMS

This artistic intervention area is based on theme of the OBJECT-CHARACTER, such as the Masks, Puppetry, Giants Puppet, etc. and its importance in popular culture as holders of the sense of continuity, unity between the present and beginning of time and essentially imaginary.

The animated forms involve a great artistic heritage global value, whose expression is at risk of extinction, they may nevertheless be evaluated, in addition to their aesthetic and technical aspects such as a particular piece, able to lie between the magical and real proposing a reflection on the role played by this artistic expression in building a contemporary line, where new expressions arise, using the most different materials.

This component is developed by Pedro Domingues Leal, Visual Artist and Performer who has in its curriculum several national and international formations related to this Universe of Animated Forms, including Special Characterization, and Prosthesis in Cazcarra Image Group with Ismael Reinón (Barcelona), Kathakali (Theatre of Gesture) with the Master Kalamandalam Jon in Kerala (India), Nepal Masks (Carving Technique) with the Master Dhan Bahadur Lama in Changu Narayan (Nepal), Commedia dell'Arte Mask School with Master Filipe Crawford in Casa da Comédia Theater (Lisbon, Portugal) and Bali Masks (Carving Technique) with Master Ida Bagus Anom Suryawan in Mas Village (Bali, Indonesia).
